He is a certified practitioner of The Stecco Method Fascial Manipulation (FM) and of Applied Kinesiology, with a certificate in Whole Foods Nutrition and a passion for sports medicine.
Dr. Marlow treats patients with Chiropractic adjustments and Fascial Manipulation primarily, but he also uses flexion distraction, sacra-occipital technique, drop table, kinesiology, nimmo trigger point therapy, active release, gua sha, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.
He employs nutritional counseling, rehabilitative therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle modification such as postural reeducation and ergonomic considerations to increase range of motion and functionality in activities of daily living.
In addition to spinal care, Dr. Marlow treats an extensive amount of hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, TMJ, foot, ankle, knee, hip, and pelvic complaints. He treats headaches, pinched nerves, sciatic pain, numbness, tingling, radiculopathy, whiplash, carpal tunnel, sprains, strains, tendinitis, repetitive stress injuries, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff impingement, and sports injuries.
His college basketball playing career and high school basketball coaching experience have influenced his pursuit of excellence in the field of sports medicine and the optimization of athletic performance across the spectrum.
His personal dedication to diet and fitness as well as his studies in nutrition have always inspired an adept interest in helping to manage complex visceral complaints such as glandular, immune, reproductive, and digestive disorders. Now with FM for internal dysfunction he has a physical tool to use in addition to diet and lifestyle modification approaches for certain types of internal (organic) symptoms.
Dr. Marlow embarked on his journey into higher education in 2002 at Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, where he concentrated on Exercise Science with a double major in French. He was a four year varsity collegiate athlete in men’s basketball, and graduated summa cum laude with national honors in exercise science and modern languages.
Dr. Marlow then spent a year teaching English abroad in France, before starting his graduate studies in 2007. He went on to receive his doctorate degree from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in 2010. He attained licensure in Applied Kinesiology during his graduate studies by completing the 100 hour course of extracurricular weekend seminars. In addition to his endeavors in manual therapy, Dr. Marlow has a passion for nutrition and dietary supplementation which spurred his pursuit of a certificate in Whole Food Nutrition from NYCC. He graduated as a member of the Phi Chi Omega Chiropractic Honor Society, and did his clinical residency on Long Island at the Levittown Health Center, during which time he did additional rotations in free clinics at SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Farmingdale, and the Salvation Army.
In his free time Dr Marlow likes to get outside and adventure: whether surfing in Costa Rica, canyoneering in Utah, backpacking in the Fjords of Norway, indulging in his love for french language and culture, or taking the latest Italian master class in FM he is always exploring and learning new life and career skills.
